Master Filaxy™ in 15 minutes.

A short reference for every workflow Filaxy ships with. Detailed how-to videos arrive with the public launch.

01

Getting started

Drag Filaxy.app to /Applications, open it, and grant Full Disk Access in System Settings → Privacy & Security. The 7-day trial activates the first time you launch.

02

Dual-pane basics

Use ⌥⇥ to switch active pane. Drag files between panes with no modal in the way. Each pane remembers its own path history (⌘[ and ⌘] to walk it).

03

Treemap

Press ⌘⇧D to scan the current drive. Rectangle area equals folder size. Click any rectangle to drill in; ⌘-click to ascend. Color encodes file class.

04

Bulk rename

Select any group, press ⌘R. Patterns support {seq:NN}, {ext}, {name}, regex captures, and case transforms. The diff preview shows the exact result before commit.

05

Duplicate hunter

Press ⌘⇧F to scan the current pane root. Three phases (size, head-byte hash, full hash) run in sequence so even terabyte drives finish in minutes.

06

Command palette ⌘K

Every action in Filaxy lives here. Type a few characters; press ↩ to run. Hold ⌘ in the palette to peek the action’s detail view.

07

Keyboard shortcuts

A full reference table ships in-app under ⌘? / Help → Shortcuts. The web version of this manual will mirror it at launch.

08

License management

Filaxy → Preferences → License shows your seat. Deactivate to release the seat before installing on a different Mac. Your license email is the source of truth.
